Brand New Whites 

We are excited to announce that both Shadow Springs and Windsor Run have a brand new white wine on the menu!

Windsor Run’s Yadkin Five is a blend of five different white grape varietals sourced from five different vineyards throughout the Yadkin Valley: Valvin Muscat from Windsor Run, Seyval Blanc from Shadow Springs, Riesling from Dobbins Creek, Traminette from Ferguson Vineyards, and Pinot Gris from Highland Vineyards. This dry wine is fruity and nicely balanced, perfect to quench your summer thirst.

Shadow Springs’ Petit Manseng is our second vintage from this wonderful grape we planted back in 2016. Stainless steel fermented, this dry white has crisp acidity with flavors of honeysuckle and vanilla.

In addition to these brand new wines, we’ve also recently bottled new vintages of some of our old favorites. Shadow Springs’ Seyval Blanc and Tangled Oak Blanc are back, and Apple Mead and Hillbilly Holiday are back at Windsor Run.

Strong Arms 💪

Out in the vineyard we have been hard at work pruning and getting the vines ready to start growing again this spring. On some of our oldest vines, we’ve decided to set some renewal canes, essentially giving the vine a new set of arms! As you can see in the picture above, these little sticks grow from the head of the vine and will eventually become as thick and sturdy as the existing cordon arms.

After many years, a vine may develop disease throughout its “body” and become less healthy and productive as the flow of nutrients and water is constricted within the wood. By training a new set of cordon arms, we are essentially letting the vine hit the reset button and start fresh. It’s amazing to see a vine’s regenerative ability in action, too bad we humans can’t do the same thing!

Music & Food Trucks 🎶😎

After lots of customer requests, Shadow Springs will be hosting several music and food truck weekends throughout this year! We’re kicking this series off on April 16th with fan favorite Cousins Maine Lobster and Philray.

Come out and enjoy some great music, food, and wine with friends and family! Philray will be performing from 12:30 to 3:30pm and Cousins Maine Lobster will be serving up their mouthwatering lobster lunches from noon to 3pm.
